Novelty Automation. Camden. 1a Princeton Street, London WC1R 4AX.

Novelty Automation is a small, unique, and remarkable gallery of satirical slot machines. It is the brainchild of cartoonist and engineer Tim Hunkin, who has personally constructed by hand most of the machines, using scrap and spare parts. The slot machines are extraordinarily ingenious, poking fun at the world in a hilarious but sharply pointed way. There is no charge for viewing the gallery, but there is a small charge for the tokens required to operate the slot machines.

The slot machines include The Frisker (which pats you down with alarmingly intrusive inflated rubber gloves), The Housing Ladder (in which the player walks on treadmill steps on a physical ladder towards a model house), a Money Laundering Machine, and an Automated Divorce.

Novelty Automation is a few minutes walk from Holborn underground station.
